Nature by Name is designed for keyboard use, clear screen structure, visible focus, reduced motion, and enlarged text.
Supported behavior
- Semantic landmarks, headings, forms, lists, figures, and status messages.
- Keyboard-reachable controls and visible focus.
- System, light, and dark themes.
- Reduced-motion preferences.
- Layouts designed to work at 200 percent text size.
Study media
Before reveal, a screen reader announces the position of each Study image without giving away the answer. After reveal, it can read the organism name, creator, source, and attribution.
Current limits
Photo recognition requires sight and does not yet have an equivalent non-visual task. Study also requires a network connection. An independent accessibility audit has not yet been completed.
